It definitely works with the assignment. Even though the shadow is not the focus, there is no doubt that this shot wouldn't be the same without it. I know this character is suppose to be yellow and it definitely adds to the shot to have the light red; it makes him seem more evil. Also, maybe this is just my eyes, but I didn't catch this at first. Is he wearing a hat in the shadow? If he is, that is very clever and I applaud it. There's a bit of color splotching and I can't tell if that is a post-production thing, or a camera fault, either way, it adds to the surrealness of the piece and gives it a level of abstract. I made some tests focusing on the shadow , but the result on this one was better in my opinion. The shadow and the red light were made with my Philips LivingColors and then I used some post-production.
And I had not even noticed the hat in the shadow I am not so clever sorry lol
